preposition

A preposition is a part of speech. A preposition with its OP makes up a prepositional phrase. An OP will always be in the objective case.  A list of English prepositions is here.


Greek:

Unlike English prepositions, the meaning of Greek prepositions changes based on the case of the OP.

  • δια + genitive OP has the meanin of “through”
  • δια + accusative OP has the meaning of “on account of”
